Default A Different World should be on Nick at Nite

If Nick at Nite keeps airing the "Cosby Show" 4 times a night. Then they should air its spinoff "A Different World". Or at least air it on TV Land.

Mr. Moderator, please put this on the General Discussion board because this more about Nick at Nite then "A Different World"

Put Diff'rent World on TV Land? You got to be kidding! What's wrong with the channel its currently airing on now? From what I am aware of, TBS airs the A Diff'rent World at least two times a day. That's plenty. It doesn't need another national network to air it. Besides, isn't TV Land for older classic sitcoms NOT modern classic sitcoms? If that is case, then A Diff'rent World would definitely not fit well on TV Land.

To be quite frank, Nick at Nite totally needs to do away with The Cosby Show. That show has overcome its course for a show on Nick at Nite. I think the viewers have seen enough of that show to supply them for 10 years!

First of all A Different World is not on TBS anymore. I was trying to make a point, that Nick at Nite is turning into the Cosby show channel and if they want to do that, air A Different World would make it evermore of the Cosby show.

It was sort of half sarcassim on my part. Though I love the Cosby show and A Different World. However I agree Nick at Nite airs a little to much.

Yes, A Different World is a good show, and they should air it. Just not on NICK or TVLand. I think a problem with the current programming on NICK at Nite is that their show era is quickly turning into the 90's. I think that the 90's shows should be put on TBS, and ABC family shows should go straight to ABC Family. I also think that 80's shows and probably 1 70's and 1 90's show should be on NICK at NITE. The 50's-70's shows should go to TVLand. That's why I think Three's Company should go to TVLand.(I mean if Happy Days and Laverne and Shirley were on TVLand, I think Three's Company should go too) Also, another thing is people get excited over shows going to Nick At Nite, but when you think about it, unless it will bring in perfect Cosby Show ratings, it will quickly diminish into the 2:00, 4:00, etc AM slots. Now, would you rather catch your show in the middle of the night (NICK at NIte) or during the day (TBS, ABC Family, TNN, TVLand) sometime?

I just hope A Different World should get put on TBS again. Or if that can't happen, what could happen is NICK could give it a late slot in the night .

It seems to me that whenever Nick at Nite gets a tv show that has a hit spinoff. The hit spinoff will soon follow. Alla Happy Days and Laverne and Shirley, All in the Family and the Jeffersons. A Different World would add to that pattern.

That could be the case but not for the following shows you mentioned above. The Jeffersons came on Nick at Nite first in February 1999 and All in the Family followed in January 2000. So actually, the parent show followed the spin-off. Another example of this would be Mork and Mindy and Happy Days. Nick at Nite aired Mork and Mindy in the early 90's and then aired Happy Days in the mid to late 90's.

I agree. I wish they would air Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley, and Three's Company together in that particular order like as their original runs were. All three shows are excellent and they go good with each other. That is why I always consider Three's Company to be in the Happy Days & spin-offs family.

Same with 'Facts' and 'Strokes'. Facts came to N@N in September 2000 and Strokes came in March 2001.

I can think of another one:

Same with 'Green Acres' and 'The Beverly Hillbillies'. 'Green Acres' came to N@N in November 1989 and 'The Beverly Hillbillies' came in January 2000.
