Question Freddie Mercury vs. Robert Plant

Who was the superior vocalist in your opinion? (we're talkin' singing here, not frontman presence) Tough one, isn't it?! Both were powerful singers. Both had unique styles. I guess it boils down to which style you prefer It's *nearly* neck & neck w/ me, but I'd have to ultimately give it to Freddie. He had such range. Such a high & clear voice. I mean, so did Robert, but Robert was more a wailer. Freddie was closer being the natural singer.

What say you?

I think Freddie Mercury was better. I love him so much. He was great.

Red face re: bands and singers

OMG, it's a crazy day when people don't know which bands Robert Plant and Freddie Mercury were in--ONLY the two top bands of the 70's--Led Zeppelin and Queen!! But I should shut my big yap because I LIVED through the 70's and a lot of you haven't...So I'm sorry...

Cool re: which singer

I guess, I'd say Freddie. I was about to say, how could anyone
say Freddie was better than Robert? But then, did you ever notice, as good of a singer Plant was, he always sang things with that crazy accent and you didn't know what the hell he was saying? "From the dwork of Sayt'ns Daurghter, and it only goes to show..." (Lyrics from Houses of the Holy--the song, that is...Great song, but what's he saying??)

Heck, Robert Plant said he didn't even like Stairway to Heaven.
