Default Next Year's Awards Show Host?

I was just wondering, since we know they change hosts for these awards shows every year, who do you think should host next year's show? I'm not sure, but I'd kinda like someone with a sharp wit, like Tim Conway or Pat Morita (the original Arnold from "Happy Days"). Someone young for the sake of youth might not be a good idea, although that is the current Hollywood trend.
Any suggestions?

Steve

How about Dick Van Dyke? I think he would be a fabulous host for that show. Or Ed "I hate spunk!" Asner. He would be great also. Was he there this time? I don't remember seeing him. Lolac

I agree with both your choices. It probably helps that both are men I love. But seriously, Ed is a riot! And no, he wasn't there this year, unfortunately.

I could have sworn it was Ed's voice that was singing the MTM theme at the beginning of the show. Does anyone know who it was?

MTM1Fan, I believe it was the original guy (Sonny Curtis?) who sang the theme.

I'd love to see Harvey Korman and Tim Conway share the hosting duties. They're still pretty sharp, and have great chemistry, but I can see them driving the producer mad (hissing from the wings: "C'mon guys, move it along!)

I know Sonny Curtis sang the original but are you saying he was also the one singing it at the TVLand Awards? It sounded like an older gentleman singing it.

Yep, that's what I'm saying. He would be an older gentleman now, wouldn't he?

This may be an off-the-wall suggestion (how appropriate for this awards show), but how about Don Adams? OK, wouldja believe...Don Knotts? Hmm. Missed it by that much!

Default Dick and Mary

I vote for Dick Van Dyke and Mary Tyler Moore sharing the hosting duties. Also throw in a nice song and dance for them to do--you know they would still be great.
