Default The First Episode

I think I have seen just about every episode of MF, but could someone refresh my memory about the first episode. I was just curious??
Thanks

OK, the first episode. That was "Vint and the Kids Move In." When Vint brings Sonja and Buzz and begs Mama to move in with her and Fran, "for just a little while." I think Naomi appeared in the first episode but I am not for sure. It always cracks me up when I hear Vint say that moving in with Thelma is temporary. Because as we all know, it wasn't temporary.

But, if you notice TBS somehow shows the 2nd episode instead of the 1st episode for some unknown reason. They show episode 2 and then episode 1.
I like it when they get all of their stuff in the house and Mama walks on the mattress in the house, and Mama trying to tell Fran about Vint and the kids moving into her studio.
Also, when Naomi yells at Mama about her trees putting sap on her car and that she wanted Mama to get the sap off the car because she wanted to pick up a friend and didn't want to be in a sap colored car. And then Vint and Naomi get together to do their high school cheer.
Eventually, Vint gets the basement, Buzz gets a room,Sonia gets a room, Fran still has her room, and Mama has her room.

BTW: The second episode is the one where Vint pawns Mama's silver to bail out Claude Cainmaker.

Yep, Buzz gets the attic, and Sonja gets Fran's studio.

This episode is really the 13th, but they show it first on TBS (according to TvTome.com).

I really wonder why they won't show the episodes in order. It's really annoying.

I didn't know the episode where Vint pawns Mama's silver was the 13th episode. I guess the fact that Naomi wasn't in that episode confuses me also because they were married when that episode aired.

You and me both. I mean, it can't be that hard to put the episodes in order, is it?! It makes me see red!

Huh? If you're talkin' about the "silver" episode, I thought that was the 2nd one shown originally, but it's just messed up in showings now?

Default the first episode is where naiomi and vint see each other since they were kids

Naiomi comes over to complain about mama's lemon tree or something and how she has to prune them and vincent and the kids are stuck living at home with mama' because v.mother ran away with money and all to become a las vegas show girl.Something to that effect.mama' has three sons can you name the actors who played them.Vincent was actually name philip who was a writer on the special Called Eunice. Then at that time he was named philip and was played by Ken berry on the burnett show it was Roddy mcdowell. the other brother was Tommy smothers.the other son is Alan Alda. The voice of Carl was supplied by deceased writer and creator dick clair.if anyone has any other questions about mama's family or carol burnett or related questions email me personally at CHPK@erols.com.my real name isn't happy harper but Chris Korman

Default the order in which the shows aire are up to the network unfortunately

The episodes with C.Burnett and H.Korman are my Favorite, especially the wedding with B.White and Rue McClanahan.I hated how they treated ed(played by harvey Korman-My Fadda!Carol catterwalling Oh promise me was a real fun scene to watch being taped live.Vicki carol and my dad couldn't get through it during rehearsals without laughing. The rehearsals and bloopers were actually funnier then what actually aired. The family and history of MF goes back to the Burnett show yrs so it was like hanging with family.

According to tvtome.com, it is the 13th episode (the season finale of season 1). I couldn't have seen it when it originally aired, but if you remember it as being the second episode, tvtome.com must be wrong. Tvtome.com also says it is the first episode shown in syndication. I can't remember that episode... was Vinton married in it?

I'm all mixed up over the airing of the epsiodes--nowadays and back when it was originally on. I don't get why the copyright date at the end of all the NBC episodes shows it being on from 82-84, yet it ran from 83-85. Do you know if the shows aired in 85, were already reruns, or their first run on NBC?

Well, according to episode guides I'd seen, the silver one was supposedly the 2nd show...

And while the show started tapin' in '82, it didn't begin airin' till '83. I do know that!

Awesome possum. I figured that was why. I think it was only about 3 or 4 episodes with the CR as 82. Now, do you know the deal with 85? I'm assuming it was the 84-85 season MF comtinued to be shown. If the NBC years were season 1: 83 and season 2: 83-84, why was the show still shown on NBC in 85? I'm not really familar with any other shows ever doing this.

TBS shows the episodes in PRODUCTION order. Meaning TBS airs the episodes in the order they were taped, not broadcast.

The first episode is really like the 3rd episode or so. They must have filmed two other episodes, and realized they needed to explain a few things.

So, in a way, TBS airs them in order, but at the same time, they don't, lol, and they always skip "Gert Rides Again" I KNOW they've aired it before, but they haven't in a LONG time.

The shows from the summer of 1985 were all reruns of the 1982-1984 season of Mama's Family.
