Exclamation Will MAUDE ever be released on DVD?

Hi all!

Just wondering if any of you know whether or not plans are afoot to have MAUDE released on DVD. If not, does anyone know if there are plans NOT to release it? I think with the SEASON sets of 'All in the Family', 'The Jeffersons', and now 'Good Times', that MAUDE should also be given the same treatment. Besides, on the 'Good Times' DVD set (first season), MAUDE is even mentioned as the show that 'Good Times' spun off from.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the show will see a DVD release. It deserves to, as does 'Archie Bunker's Place' (if only to have the 'Archie Alone' episodes, where Edith dies, for posterity; like it or hate it, no collection is complete without it!).

Anyone know anything?

Ed

Welcome To The Boards!

Possibly, there is currently a poll conducted by Columbia Tri-Star for which shows we think should be released on DVD, and Maude happens to be on the list. The link is below:

http://www.sonypictures.com/cthe/tv/poll/

They are asking for voters to pick five shows on either "best of" sets or "season" sets, in which voters would like to see it be released in.

I have all but maybe 15 episodes of Maude on VHS, all excellent quality. You can email me if you are interested.

Thanks

On my left, I saw days upon days of lipstick and ticking clocks, dirty looks and quiet whisperings. And burning secrets that just won't ever die away. And on my right, what could I picture? The blue sky, the desert earth, stretching out into the eerie infinity. A beautiful never-ending nothing.

Hey, what's the difference between "best off" and "season" sets? I don't know what the difference is, if anyone can explain, thanks.

"Best Of" is when the show is released by only selected episodes of the series and "Season" is when the show is released by each season of the series.

Thanks for the info. Now, I understand. So far, I mostly buy DVD's of movies. I've not yet bought DVD's of a show. Sure, I see little kid cartoon shows in stores, but mostly I buy cartoons in movies plus most of them are from real people movies that I buy on DVD, that's why I was confused. Again, thanks for the information..
