What are some dramas, or comedy dramas, that may be somewhat slow going but are ultimately rewarding in your opinion?

Ulee's Gold
You Can Count on Me
Wonder Boys
Beautiful Girls
The Verdict

I loved, You Can Count On Me, as well.

Other movies worth the wait:

Trees Lounge, with Steve Buscemi was great.

Unfaithful was slow paced but is in my top five greats

The Remains of The Day

The Good Girl

The Man Who Wasn't There

My Life As a House

In The Bedroom

The Ice Storm

Falling Down

The Days of Wine and Roses
