Question Is Something Wrong With Sally Struthers?

I noticed her on the TV Land Awards show with Rob Reiner and it looked as if Reiner was practically holding her up. She looked unhealthy. Does anyone know what, if anything, is going on with her?

Does anyone remember those feed the children commercials Sally used to do back in the 80s? I could have sworn she became really ill with something she caught in a third world country--like some type of hepatitis. I must be dreaming this though because I can't find any information online about her ever being sick. Someone give me a clue.

She might have been sick back then, I can't remember. I thought she looked great at the awards.

Rob is taller than her and they were standing close together. If he had his arm around her, that might look like he was holding her up.

How come you posted the website? Does it mention her being sick. I went to the website once and I couldn't find much on it.

I posted it because I thought it may offer some OFFICIAL information in lieu of gossip. If there is not mention of an illness on an OFFICIAL site, we can probably assume all is well. In other words, go to the proper sources for information and not rely on message boards where people hear nonsense and just keep repeating it. There are many kids on these boards who are not adults (obviously) and take it all seriously.

I saw Sally on the TV Land Awards, and I was really taken back by how much weight she gained. I'm not saying this in a gossipy sense. She just looked so huge.
I remember when she started to gain weight years ago, but I've never seen her look so big.
That can't be healthy for her. I hope she gets a handle on it for her health's sake.

Was there gossip going on in this thread? On all the posts, including mine, all I saw was questions being asked, no gossip. So take what seriously? No nonsense here. You do have it straight for some of these threads on some of these boards--people can spread it around, but fortunately the moderators usually shoot them down. And this thread has had no gossip going on. I think its ok to have discussions on here and not always rely on official websites. And I can't even tell if that website you listed is official. I saw no "official" on it. You called it official. Are you spreading nonsense around now?

I know this post might sound weird, but I just want to clear up the fact that I'm not making fun of Sally in this post.

I will admit that Sally does have a bit of a weight problem. I remember someone asking on here for current pics of any of the cast members, it was some sort of post like that. I went to Entertainment Tonight's website and they had a small pic of Sally during Carroll's funeral. She had short hair in the pic and the short hair kind of emphasizes (sp?) her face. Since she has a chubby face, people are drawn more to her face and comment on her weight gain.

Sally was on 'The Division' (show that comes on Lifetime that has Nancy McKeon in it) and Sally had longer hair. It came down to her shoulders. To me, it looked like she had lost a few pounds. The longer hair could've just made it look like she had lost some weight. I always thought it was the other way around about longer hair makes you look heavier and shorter hair makes you look thinner.

I know she's a bit overweight, but I hope that's the only thing wrong with her. I know being overweight isn't healthy, but when you compare being overweight to something even more serious, being overweight doesn't seem so bad.

Good grief! Take a chill pill. It's listed as "official" when one does a freakin' web search. Look at #5... http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?s...ally+struthers

You're right. It's listed as official, but it's called an "official fansite."Can't anybody just call their website "official fansite," without it being really an official website? I thought official was suppose to mean the subject of the website is affiliated with it. It sure doesn't look like Sally or her people are affiliated with this website. It looks more like fans just made it up hence them naming it "official fansite." For one thing it has no mention of it being official in the way that I thought official was suppose to mean. Another clue is it's a tripod website.

I had thought before that you were the one that needed to chill, because you just posted that website, said if it didn't say Sally had ever been sick, we should just assume all is well and not spread rumors. That came off really goofy to me, because we weren't spreading rumors--we were asking questions. Just because that website has no mention of Sally being sick, I don't think the conversation stops there necessarily. That website it pretty pitiful, and I don't think Sally or anyone who knows her personally directs it.
