Sad re: Dixie Chicks

Are their careers now toast, like I've heard on the radio?

I dunno, but on the local Rock station I listen to they were talking about how radio stations were banning their records, and the DJ on the radio goes "Well, I can PROMISE you guys, there will be no Dixie Chicks played on 107.7 the X...."

I like the Dixie Chicks, but yeah, I'm afraid their career just went down the toilet. If radio stations aren't playing them anymore and if so many people are pissed at the comment, that means some will stop buying cds and tickets. It's a shame. They really had talent. I still like them and it was just one little comment and Natalie did apologize, so I'm not holding it against them. Unfortunately, others will. I'm afraid they just fell from the top.

I keep hearing that the Dixie Chicks said something just awful ( ) about our president our country or something, but I haven't heard what? Anywayz, I'm sure it wasn't as big of a deal as everyone wants to make it, and I'm glad people in entertainment are voicing their opinions, instead of pretending to be brainwashed sick ****s who actually support Bush and are pro war.........I can't stand the Dixie Chicks, and I would be more than ok with the fact that their career was over, but I totally don't agree with it being b/c they voiced their opinion. That's ****ed up man, and definitely not "the american way"......whatever the hell that is anyway.

People are just overreacting to what they said, there have been plenty of other artists that have said bad things about Bush.

Hey, now I have a question. What about tv stations playing their videos? CMT played their videos, of course. VH1 have played their videos. I haven't seen any of their videos in the last couple of days. I don't really get all that much of a chance to watch either channel all that much anymore, but I'm just wondering if the tv stations stopped playing them.

Yeah, and I think they have every right to say what they did. (Freedom of speech). The President is not the king of the world, he is just a human being. Unfortunately, he is a human being with crazy war monger ideas.
