The Return of Kelly Clarkson - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Last week the "American Idol" wannabes serenaded viewers with Motown melodies. This week, they will try the old razzle dazzle with music from motion pictures.

Then contestants, as well as viewers, will receive a special treat when KELLY CLARKSON, winner of the first "American Idol" title, returns to her old stomping grounds to perform her newest song from the motion picture "From Justin to Kelly."

"American Idol" will also preview an exclusive scene from the Twentieth Century Fox feature film, in which Kelly stars with runner-up JUSTIN GUARINI.

Kelly's debut album hits music stores on Tuesday, April 15 on RCA Records. "From Justin to Kelly" opens in theaters nationwide Friday, April 25.

There are 11 "American Idol" contenders remaining for the title. VANESSA OLIVAREZ was voted off last week after receiving the fewest votes of the more than 13 million votes recorded. This came as a surprise to many, but not to SIMON COWELL, who had told the redhead that she reminded him of BETTE MIDLER. "I see you more as an entertainer than what we are looking for in this contest," he said.

"American Idol" airs tonight on FOX in a two-hour special beginning at 8 p.m.

I really like Kelly and Justin but the movie sounds way corny.

Actually, Kelly has a new song (clip) out right now called "Miss Independent" which is extemely good compared to "A Moment Like This" and "Before Your Love." You could download the song at Kazaa or Kazaa Lite.

BTW, this is the CD cover for her debut:

IMO, it's extremely airbrushed.
