Default Supper Or Dinner?

What do you call the last meal of the day? I Was raised to say Supper, But it seems Dinner is the more used of the two.

Back on the Iowa theme; we called it supper in my kidhood. But now we call it dinner. I like supper better. It has more of a chowdown sound about it. Dinner sounds more stuffy.

Dinner... Definitely dinner! I'm from California I really hadn't heard anyone say supper until I started chatting online. haha

One of my friends are from Nebraska and say

Supper= Dinner
Worsher= Washer
Worsh Clothes= Wash Clothes
Quickie= corndog
Pop= Coke...any beverage like that.

My mom calls it Supper but I always say dinner because that's what most people around here say, My mom also instead of saying couch or sofa she calls it a davenport. She's the only one I know who refers to a couch as a davenport.

I'll usually say supper, but once in a while I'll say 'dinner'. I don't know... I guess it's whatever comes out at the moment

The blue sky, the desert earth, stretching out into the eerie infinity. A beautiful never-ending nothing.
