Default Haircolor

Has anybody died their hair or even bleached or got highlights in their hair?

I want to highlight my hair.

Thumbs up

You wouldn't believe how many times I've dyed my hair!!
It's naturally dark brown but when I was a teenager I constantly dyed it black (not something I'd recommend cos it takes ages to grow out!).
Then I dyed it dark red but I hated that!
Then I dyed it purple - that was cool.
Then I bleached it blonde. I'm not into blondes myself but I thought I looked good like that.
Then I dyed it really dark brown but I got bored of that and went back to my natural colour.
I'm currently contemplating bleaching it again. You should get highlights - my best girlfriend has them and they look good. What looks best on a woman is if she has really dark hair with blonde streaks in it - that's well hott!

No, but when I'm older, I'm going to get my hair permenantly straightened and then have subtle red highlights.

I want mine that color...

Anyway, yeah...My natural color is like, medium brown, and well last year I had red highlights in it... then I did some more... then those grew out and I got blonde highlights... then, this summer, I attempted to do a DIY bleaching with Peroxide and Sun-In and ended up having my hair a light brown-blonde color.

It turned out odd but extremely cool. I get complimented on it. The top layer of my hair is blonde then underneath is like a medium brown, my natural color. Then on the top layer of my hair, my roots are a little darker then the ends, like a dark blonde. So it's like my hair fades into the next color

How do they permenantly straighten hair? Won't it eventually grow out? I've been wanting straight hair for years but the salons keep telling me that there is nothing that they can do about it. They don't reccomend putting any chemicals on it.
Anyways I have virgin hair. I've never done anything to it.

I highlight my hair a lot, with just like a few blond streaks, but my hair is like a brown color, thats not exactly light, and not exactly dark...LOL!

I do my hair every 2-3 months. I only get it done by a professional though. Id never trust myself and a home color kit. Oh, but sophomore year I did that Sun-In spray (BAD idea) and used the whole bottle. Well, that summer I went to get my hair dyed blonde. ( ) and it turned the really light highlights white!! She had to fix it. Ugh, it was aweful. My hair is a dark, dark brown with a couple honey highlights and Im keeping it. When I go to the salon, I get it dyed and a couple foils.

Yeah I highlight my hair. Everytime I do it starts out reddish brown, then fades to light brown...and then to blonde ...which is what it is now lol. I have naturally black hair but after I turned around 11 or 12 it started fading to a really dark brown.

Lowlights. Thats what I was gonna get, but since I had my hair dyed so dark, it would be pointless. The only color I want that I cant have is red. I mean, I can have it... but not the shade I want.
