As a credit to how good this show it, I'm starting this thread for people to post all the reasons why 8 Simple Rules is such a good show! I think the #1 reason is:
-It appeals to both young and old audiences-This is because John Ritter and Katey Segal appeal more to the older people and Kaley, Amy and Martin are more for the younger people! |

Yeah, it appeals to everyone, and they are just really funny! Also, in a way, people can relate to people. Especially middle children relating to Kerry, "the middle child"...

The middle child is true! It also shows the oldest and youngest as well....The oldest being popular and gets what they want...the middle child being ignored and moody....and the youngest being innocent and getting away with anything!

I love the show because unlike a lot of other family sitcoms, the kids have actual personalities and actually act like people their age do. I find it so funny because I can relate to so many of the situations. Plus, the cast is wonderful.

Martin Spanjers is probably my favourite actor that age.
Kaley Cuoco makes me drool. And Amy Davidson is a very skilled actress. Also, the whole thing is tightly scripted, and very funny. Katey Segal, however, isn't as good as she is in Married With Children, Tucker or Futurama. |
