There might've been a post already on this.. sorry if there already is one on this... but... When is the first time you saw Three's Company? What channel? What episode? What was your reaction? Did you realize they were 3 roommates? Did you think it was funny?
Here's Mine First Time: June 2001 Where: Nick At Nite at 9:00 or 10:00, or something, when it was actually at a good slot! Episode: "Urban Plowboy" Season 6 Reaction: I thought it was hilarious, I loved the cow scene and Jack's physical comedy! That hooked me on the episode. What I thought: I had a hard time figuring out the relation between the characters! It was changing throughout the episode, since there were a lot of people in this episode, but I though Jack and Janet were actually husband and wife. I thought Terri was the daughter, and that Cindy was Terri's best friend. I knew that the "bully dude" wasn't a regular character, and then I thought Mr. Furley and Aunt Becky were the grandparents who went visiting with them.. lol. I eventually found out that they were roommates soon after... |

First Time: September (or October?) 2000
Where: Nick-at-Nite, during the marathon. Episode: "Room at the Bottem" (season five - first episode they ever aired) It confused me. The only scene I remember is Chrissy calling Janet and them talking about Jack's job at the restaurant. I didn't understand why someone in the credits is only on the show for a minute or two, lol. I thought that scene was really funny, but I didn't watch it because after that N@N put it on it's regular schedule at 11pm. I did occasionally catch an episode. I remember being confused by Terri until N@N started to air the show at 10pm in December 2000/January 2001. At first I thought it looked stupid during the commercials. I had really started to like The Facts of Life and for that entire week I wouldn't get to see FOL! But I ended up liking TC way better in the end. |

My first time watching TC was in...October 2000 on Nick at Nite. I expected to see the Facts of Life because it was like, my new favorite nick at nite show but instead it was TC, which really made me mad. So I tried watching an episode, it was "Janet's Promotion." And I didn't really like it that much. So then for the rest of that week I....oh, it hurts me to say this...I HATED TC.
And then a few months later I decided to try watching another episode. It was "The Bake-Off." It was so funny. I just remember laughing so much and this show that I thought I hated. And then I watched it all the time after that. |

My fist time I saw 3's Company was when it first came on.... About 1977! I think it was on ABC... I was about 13..
It was the pilot eposide. The hyped-up previews looked so cool, so I looked forward to the new show! I remember thinking how cool it would be to be grown up and live in an apartment with friends like that! Corny, huh!? I still enjoy that show! |
