Default Steven and Elyse Keaton vs. Jason and Maggie Seaver

I personally personally preferred Steven and Elyse over Jason and Maggie because they were much enjoyable to watch as a couple than Jason and Maggie. But as parents I preferred Jason and Maggie over Steven and Elyse. Some of the dialogue from the Keaton kids, especially Alex and Mallory, were a bit disrespectul and it was allowed. Mike, Carol and Ben were respectful to their parents and obeyed them even Mike when he did goofed off a bit much.

Funny you should mention that because Kirk Cameron hosted a TV special called "The Secrets of the Back to the Future Trilogy" which was about the BTTF movies that starred Michael J. Fox.

I choose the Keatons. I loved Steven's dry sense of humor. He had me so many times!! "There was a kangaroo...in my living room."

I choose Steven and Elyse Keaton. I like Jason and Maggie Seaver, but I like the Keatons better.

Why was Kirk Cameron hosting that? It seems an odd choice to me because he didn't appear in any of those movies.

I'm afraid that the only two people who would know are Les Mayfield and George Zaloom, since they made the special.

Steven and Elyse by a long shot. Growing Pains sucked, in my opinion.

I would have to good with the Seavers, but it was close. If you want more people to pick growing pains, put this under that board.

I don't agree at all. I loved GP but Mike was always up to something. He was a regular conartist and he always had a sarcastic comment for his parents. I don't remember any disrespect from the Keaton kids. Politics maybe...but that doesn't make them disrespectful. I think Steve and Elyse were one of the greatest couples in sitcom history.

Actually, catlover79, I just thought of a potential connection between the two. Deborah Harmon, who played Elizabeth Lubbock in the show's spinoff, Just the Ten of Us, also appeared in Back to the Future in an uncredited role as a TV newscaster reporting on the missing plutonium that Doc Brown was using to power the DeLorean.
