Do you ever think that poor Bobbi and Kristi (forgot their last names) will ever break free from their evil grandparents The Maples? This story has been one of the most saddest and also most odd story featured on UM. I'm actually surprised that they haven't broken free yet, now that the kids are in their 20's, already! I would seriously hate to think they are dead and that the scumbag Maples have gotten away.
When they showed the pseudo-update to the case, it scared the crap out of me. I think they used some special music for the update and not the normal update's different theme, which I remember was scary. Plus, there was a big uneasiness as I saw the kids in the water and their aged enhanced photos. Plus, it seemed very rushed...I also hope they someday find the killer or cult that murdered poor Rachel Runyan. I won't discuss it because, in my opinion, it was one of the most morbid cases on UM ever! Oh well, here's hoping to both of those cases getting solved (with The Maples' case hopefully having a happy ending!) |

I think these were the Tennessee Grandparents who, after their daughter and son-in-law decided to raise their two eldest children full time, evidently concocted charges of incest against the younger couple. .and, after a VERY dragged out investigation legally proved the allegations to be false, they skipped the state with their two eldest and passed them off as their OWN children. Oh, and there was a 3rd grandchild who they oddly showed NO interest in whatsoever and even the evidently wrongly accused parents thought it was odd and unjust that the State could (initially) take the elder two out of their home on those suspicions yet leave the youngest one there!
Anyway, the younger couple proved their grandparents' case a pack of lies and they later were able to adopt another baby but AFAIK, they've NEVER been able to find out what's become of their elder children or their slanderous, malicious parents! This reminds me of another case ( I can't remember the names or state) in which a boy's maternal grandmother kidnaps him TWICE out of his bedroom and the first time, his mother and aunt manage to grab him at the home of the grandmother's mother but the grandmother herself got away before the police arrived. Afterwards, the boy reported that his grandmother pretended he was her child AND often made him wear a dress to help disguise him. Sadly, the 2nd time, she broke into her daughter's house, severed the phone lines and I've NEVER heard an update but it's been over 10 years since both cases were first aired! These kidnappers are downright EVIL!

Those kids (now grown) must either be dead or in a foreign country. Have the parents spoken out about this case recently, are they still pursuing the case, I wonder???
