Sherman Hemsley and Tvland Awards - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I was sitting down Wednesday night March 12th watching John Ritter doing a good job hosting the Tvland Award Show and I started wondering Why Tvland dropped Sherman Hemsley as the host of the Tvland Awards show because up until about a month or so before the show Tvland was promoting Sherman Hemsley as the host of The Tvland Awards Show

Doing those funny commercials with Sherman trying to walk in high heels on the red carpet runway then without warning you start seeing ads with John Ritter as the host

Anybody know why Sherman was dropped as the Host of the Tvland Awards show please respond thanks

He was never suppose to be the host. He was just doing the promos (he needed the money).

Yeah I was surprised I didn't see him at the Awards. Kind of strange that he was in the promos and not in attendance at the Awards.
