Default Sad episode

I just saw this episode for the first last week on Star World and the night before that I saw teaching with the enemy. Man, I thought teaching with the enemy was so sad but the girl in the plastic bubble was even sadder but sweet at the same time. Lilith and Frasier were both willing to sacrifice their own happiness for the happiness (in the Frasier's case) or life (in Lilith's case) of their spouse. <sob>

Do you think that this was the saddest episode of Cheers ever? (except the series finale of course!)

I've never seen the last episode (not the series finale one) when Diane left to publish something. Was that even more sad? Did anyone cry?

I thought the sadest episode was "No Help Wanted". It's the one where Sam hired Norm to do his taxes, but then doesn't send in the return. The whole episode Norm talked about how he was depressed and almost jumped out the window. And then at the end he ws going to leave cheers but cried to Sam and realized it was all he had. So sad I thought. But the Finale was real sad. Right when Norm leaves. There is a little moment with Sam by himself. It felt so final. An ending to the best sitcom ever.

The finale makes me cry too, and that "No Help Wanted" one.

I can't remember the title, but another sad one for me is the one where that old man who fought in WWI came to Cheers to meet his old army buddies, but they never showed up because they were all dead and he realized he was the only one left. sad
