Today on Mayfield Life and times we got a guest who has lived in this town all but 4 years of his life Let me intorduce Theodre Cleaver to the show
Beaver: Call me Beaver

Host: any Speacial memiors of the days before school

Beaver: Lets See I cant remembut ber any thing before i went to school

Beaver: well i went to Grant Ave Grammer school starting in kindergraden i think it was August of 1954

Host Where did you get the name Beaver from
Beaver well i was told that when i was a baby my brother wally coudlnt prononce Theodore what he said didnt sound to good so i got the nickname Beaver
Host: did you have any freinds in school
Beaver: yes lots my Best Freind was Larry Mondello
Host: did you meet Larry at school
Beaver: No i dont think so see he was born just 3 weeks before me in the same hospital

Beaver well Larry had his problems and most of them rubbed off on me

June comes to school to pick up beaver and see Larry's Father drag him in the car with larry screaming and cring

June gets out of her car and greets Beaver

Beaver Gee i dont know Mom

Beaver will in 1960 his mother left his Father and took him somewhere that i dont know and i aint seen or heard from him since

Beaver well before larry left we met this new boy named Gilbert Bates
Host oh yeah i know him he is the one that ran a stop light and pulled out right in front of me he is lucky i didnt kill him
Beaver yeah he told me about that but he said he had the green light
Host well tell us what happened when you met Gilbert
Beaver well when he moved in he told me a bunch of wild stories like his dad working for the FBI and his Brother Pitching for the ST Louis Cardnials

Beaver when my Dad told me that those stories couldnt be true i confronted Gilbert about them we fought for the first time

Beaver i had other School Chums but no as good of a freind as Larry and Gilbert

Beaver Well my mother Worried alot but my dad Had alot of confidence in me
Host what did your Father do for a living
Beaver well i didnt even know untill i was about 14

Beaver he worked as an enginerr
Host when did you start becoming involed with girls in a romantic sense
Beaver well in 8th grade i was going to go to the Gradation dance with this girl but she went with someone else i didnt get back involed with girls untill the 10th grade dance me and Richard Rickover Went with Penny Woods and Violet Rutherford Richard took Violet and i took Penny durning the dance me and Richard changed parnters and thats when i fell in love with Violet and i guess Richard did with penny and we have both been with the same girls ever since

Beaver Well there was a War Going on and i would be the fourth Cleaver in a war my Great Grad dad was in the Spainsh American War My Grand Dad was in World War 1 and my dad was in World War 2 So i felt i had to join since Wally didnt

Ward I dont think you can handle how rough it is
Beaver thats the first time you felt i couldnt do somthing
June (sobbing) Well what about Violet
Beaver you know how i feel about her there isnt a day that goes by that i dont think about her
June well your just going to leave her here with us Crying and worring
Beaver this is somthing i got to do
Violet comes over and her and Beaver go up to his room

Host Well Beaver was boot camp rough
Beaver ofcourse it was i would be lying to you if i said it wasnt
Host well what happened after boot camp
Beaver well i came home for a few weeks and learned Violet was pregent and i went ahead and married her and then i shipped out from the peace of mayfeild to the hell of Nam
I Spent Four Long Years over there and i know i killed some pepole but it had to be done i got back in the spring of 1972 to my wife and son i went to college and became a enginerr like my father he had done retired by then
Host well whats next
Beaver by 1980 everything was going right then my aunt martha died she was my favorite aunt then violet father died then her mother
then the most important man in my life had a massive heartattack in march of 1983 Dad had died the early 80's was a rough time for me but as the rest of the decade was alright i moved back in with mom and we lived together but in 1990 my son fredrick joined the marines and ended up in dersert stromhe got back safe Thank the Good Lord for that everything was going so smooth untill two more deaths hit me hard first in 1999 my brother wally was driving back from LA he took his wife and grandchildern to watch the dodgers play well its about a 200 mile drive from LA back to mayfeild he must have dosed off he ran off the road and wreked killing Wally and badly injuring Julie but as hard as that was late last year the woman that i knew my whole life passed away my mother was dead now i was the only Living member of the Ward June Cleaver Family
Well thats about it
