Post August Heads Up!

Hey everyone, be sure and check out Turner Classic Movies on August 6th (Lucy's Birthday), because they are showing a movie marathon of some of her best!

The schedule is-
(all times are eastern)
6am- Room Service (1938)- Lucy, The Marx Brothers
7:30am- Five Came Back (1939)- Lucy in a dramatic role
9am- Dance, Girl, Dance (1940)- Lucy, Maureen O'Hara
10:30am- Too Many Girls (1940)- Popularly known as Lucy's and Desi's first movie together and the where they first met
12pm- Seven Days' Leave (1942)- Lucy, Victor Mature
1:30pm- The Big Street (1942)- Lucy, Henry Fonda (another dramatic role for Lucy)
3:00pm- Best Foot Forward (1943)- Lucy, playing a fictional version of herself
5pm- Abbott and Costello in Hollywood (1945)

The only one I haven't seen is the last movie, but the rest are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

So celebrate Lucy's 90th by watching her non-stop for 12 hours!

I don't have TCM, either. First TV Land and now this!

If you blink, you miss her in the Abbott & Costello movie.

I'm beginning to realize that. Cablevision is the worst!

If you scan this board, you'll see my comment about the Game Show Network.

You have a dish,right dawsongirl?

Cool

Yep. Dish Network. It's great, except for the fact that we don't get Trio. I want to see episodes of Laugh-In!!

Oh, but we do get 8 channels of shopping!!!

Where's your comment? I couldn't find it.

I made the comment when you and I were discussing Richard Dawson and you said you still see his old show on the Game Show Network. We're all over this board so it could be anywhere.

I loved your three laughing icons. How's this:

Wink

Okay, I see it. Dummy me, I was looking at other boards. There's a game show board on here too.

Yeah, we are kinda all over this board aren't we! That's fun!

And we are definitely icon and smiley freaks.
Love that, how about this:

And as a tribute to my sn:

Darn, I can't remember if it's TCM or AMC that I have. I'll have to find out soon won't I? I hope I do, that marathon sounds great.

Let me put it this way: I'll watch anything that Richard's in, good or bad, but I can't bring myself to watch the Louie Anderson version of the Feud.

Interpret that how you like.

It's interesting to me that you like Dawson, who's time is way past, when you are so young. I'm sure Mr. Dawson would be very flattered.

I haven't seen the Louie Anderson verson because I don't have the Game Network. I live in a townhouse delvelopment and I think they are just now going to consider dishes for everyone. The board has to approve it first, though. If Cablevision ever goes digital (they're last, of course), I'll sign up.
