Cool Diff'rent Strokes is a beavus

Has anyone ever noticed that this show has so many weirdly creepy (in other words, beavus) episodes?! For example:

1) Willis has to spank Arnold, then he comes downstairs crying because he had to hit his baby brother.

2) Arnold and Dudley end up at a child molester's house and watch perverted cartoons. Then Dudley comes out of the man's bathroom in the end in his underwear, clenching his stomach, and we never find out what exactly happened...and it leaves you with a gross feeling.

3) Some man kidnaps Sam and threatens to kill his parents and family if he tells.

4) Kimberly takes a picture of Arnold's naked butt and puts it in the school newspaper, and we all get the honor of seeing it too.

5) Some strange episode where the actors who play Mr. Drummond and Kimberly come in double roles, playing Hans and his mother, with both Conrad Bains and Dana Plato dressed in drag. And no one laughs and it's not even recognized - no one even cares that they're the same people!

6) Some bullies who are bothering Arnold at lunch beat up Willis, so he has to get stitches.

7) A clown or mime woman who befriends Arnold and Dudley suddenly starts having a seizure, and for some reason Arnold and Dudley start imitating and making fun of her having her seizure.

8) Arnold pretends he pees in his bed at night.

9) The episode where the kids get stuck in a bank hostage situation is weirdly freaky.

10) A too young Arnold wants to have sex with his girlfriend.

11) Once an "evil twin" of Mr. Drummond's comes to the house, and no explanation is given as to why there is such a person.

12) Arnold pretends his substitute teacher beat all the students.

13) Arnold's teacher works in some "Hooters" type of restaurant for needed income, and Arnold gets so mad about it, even though he wanted to go to that restaurant in the first place.

Okay this was fun to write - thanks for reading!

Most of what you said is true about the weird things. There are some things from shows that I haven't thought of in a long time. Thanks.

I agree some of this is strange but,it is called entertainment. It is no stranger than
Gilligan's Island,where they have acess to a
radio and a professor who claims to be a genius but they stay stranded for years! And
what about Brady Bunch,(the perfect life),
none of the kids have drug problems and their
parents never fight! If you ask me Different
Strokes was more real! Remember when Willis
joined a gang? Willis also experimented with pot! Willis moved out and his buddy was killed in a drunk driving accident? Kimberly's eating disorder? Arnold gets his
appendix out and befriends a racist's son?
How real is this? That's one reason I liked
the show!!
