Hello all

Phil's life and career is featured in the April 2003 edition of "Vanity Fair" magazine, on sale now.

A substantial piece - nine and a half pages! - with recollections from a dozen or so of the people who knew him and worked with him. Splendid photos too.

A fair bit on Bilko, obviously, including the thoughts of surviving cast members Mickey Freeman, Allan Melvin and Maurice Brenner.

Don't miss it, readily available in North America and the UK at least.

Yes, I read that Phil Silvers piece in Vanity Fair last week. Very, very facsinating. I'm glad the media is considering the stories of our beloved comedy actors of the past worth telling. Great thorough piece about burlesque, Hollywood and of course Phil.
