Yea, I always wonder if the colors they use on the merchandise from the I Love Lucy Show like, the clothes on the dolls and etc., are the actual color they used on the shows. The only way the manufacturers would know that is if they consulted with someone who was involved with the show. Suzie

One of the reference books says that Desi wanted to film the Lucy-Desi Comedy Hours from 1957-60 in color, but it was too expensive. Would have been cool to see.

I think this might have been something I hallucinated, but I swear when I was really really young there was something called 'We Love Lucy' and it was in color. I had forgotten about it until now, but now that I know more about Lucy and all that, I don't think there was ever such a show was there? Hmmmm, I think I'm losing it.
But I do often wonder what colour the clothes, etc really were in the episodes, it would be interesting to see, but it wouldn't be the same if it weren't in black and white to me. |

Hey, Roz . . the "We Love Lucy" sounds really familar to me, too but I can't remember how or where I heard it.
I read that when Lucy did her own show, post ILL, audiences and viewers everywhere gasped when they saw how red her hair was. ![]() |

All righty folks. I just looked on imdb.com and it says that The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour was called We Love Lucy in syndication in 1962.
How's that? You're not losing it Roz!!!

Roz, you are maybe thinking of "The Lucy Show". One of the working titles was "We Love Lucy"

Wow, I wasn't even born until 21 years after 1962 and for some bizzare reason I remember it starting out the same way, only in colour and it saying 'we love lucy'......maybe I did dream it though. And unfortunately I've only seen one episode of 'Here's Lucy' and none of 'The Lucy Show'.
Bad Lucy fan. But I didn't know when it ever came on, when it came on. It doesn't still air anymore does it?

"The Lucy Show" isn't on nationally anymore (it last aired on Nick at Nite several years ago), but a few local stations still show it. "Here's Lucy" was last seen on the PAX network a few years ago.

www.imdb.com is a VERY cool site!
![]() You can find just about anything about any TV show, movie, actor/actress, etc. that you ever wanted to know. You can also read and post reviews. If that is a link I just wrote, click on it and check it out. So far I've left reviews for, uh...oh.. Family Feud (1976) Go figure ![]() Match Game '73 Nashville Beat 13 Ghosts Family Feud (1988) & (1999) should pop up soon. Over there I'm stargazer24. I saw that on a license plate once. Well, not the 24. I need to post reviews for Too Many Girls, The Long, Long Trailer and The Running Man, my three favorite movies. Well, those and 13 Ghosts. Lucy and Desi, Richard Dawson, and Martin Milner; I'm a happy girl.

If I Love Lucy was in color, it would be like The Andy Griffith Show was always in color, which just wasn't as good. It would probably get tons and tons more attention because color TV in 1952??? Are you nuts?
