We had a heat index of 110 today and that made me cranky, so I decided to start a complaint forum. Here is where you can gripe about anything Lucy related or anything non-Lucy related (I don't care, we're all nice people here
)My complaint today is about cutting. I was watching ILL this morning on WSBK-Boston (I love satellite dishes!!!) Anyway, it was episode #28- Cuban Pals. The dorks who cut that thing up cut out the scene where Ricky's translating his Cuban friend's boat ride to Lucy and accidentally speaks English to the Cubans. It's so funny because it was completely accidental, but some moron cut it! Sheesh. Anyone else want to complain, either about cutting or something else? I'm here to listen.

ARG, I missed winning Madonna tickets on the radio today by a hair's breath
, I rolled down my car window and now it won't roll back up, I'm in the process of finding a new job/moving/starting college, and it's about 110 degrees here too! Where are you dawsongirl? ::sigh:: Sorry, I'm in a really cranky mood myself today. Thanks for starting this thread, lol.------------------ "Don't take this personally Ethel, but I'm sick of the sight of your face." |

I'm going to Utah Valley State College, at least for this year, I don't know where I'm going next year. (I'm from Utah BTW) It'll be my first year actually moved out at college, but I was able to complete almost a full year of college by going to a community college during my senior year of high school, so it's sort of like my sophomore year this year....right...that made no sense, but anyway...lol Glad you're enjoying college, I'm looking forward to it.
Also cool to know that there's someone from my same generation that loves ILL too! ![]() ------------------ "Don't take this personally Ethel, but I'm sick of the sight of your face." |

Made perfect sense to me! I had a friend that was almost a junior when she reached college. Me, I'm not that ambitious.
![]() What's your major? I started as a journalism major, hated it, switched to speech education, that was ick too, so now I'm turning to English. I keep this up I'll be in till I'm 30! |

LOL, that'll probably be what I do too. I'm so indecisive. I'm really interested in working for the FBI, so I'm thinking of getting my law degree (even though I *don't* want to be a lawyer) so that I can apply for the FBI under the Law Entry program, and I figure if the FBI doesn't work out, which it probably won't, I can still do a lot of things with a law degree. So I'm either going to get my bachelors in Criminal Justice or Pre-Law, and then go to law school after that. But all that might change tomorrow, so.....lol

Wow, law school. That's ambitious!
Good Luck on that venture.I think criminal justice is a facinating field. I wouldn't want to go into it myself, but it's very interesting, solving mysteries and all. ------------------ Gentlemen, Start Your Engines!!! |

I'm bored, tired, and have a headache. So I'm just typing away for no reason.
I just watched a TV movie from 1978 called "How to Pick Up Girls." Great title huh? I didn't watch it for the plot, I watched it because two of my favorite fellas are in it. Anyway, Desi Arnaz, Jr. is one of them, and at the very beginning of the movie, this friend of his character is telling a cab driver where his place is. Here's the funny thing: he said 914(?) E. 68th St. Now we all know who lives on E. 68th St. Then the cabbie says, "That's in the middle of the East River." The guy realizes that his paper says 414, and they go on. Now, 623 E. 68th is also in the middle of the East River! So little Desi lived on E. 68th. Funniest part of the movie. Oh, that and the- "Say hello Chandler." "Hello, Chandler." "Say it again. Hello Chandler." (More boisterous) "Hello Chandler!" "Goodbye Chandler." (meekly)"Goodbye Chandler?" "That's the next thing I want to hear out of your mouth, Goodbye Chandler." In other words, the guy just got fired. Tactful huh? It makes more sense if you know who said it in the first place and you know me. Anyone ever seen this flick? Probably not. It's supposedly full of beautiful women, but I didn't see that many. Guys, yes, there were some cute ones, though not many; too many girls. Anyway, feel free to talk about anything here! ------------------ Gentlemen, Start Your Engines!!! |
