I think maybe once or twice, but I can't say exactly which episodes. But in that one where Lucy and Ethel have to stay at the restaurant and wash dishes then Ricky and Fred get sent to jail and Lucy and Ethel are 'seeing how they kiss', you can totally tell that Vivian and Fred's lips don't touch. It makes me laugh, it's like their skittish 10 year olds. lol

I sincerely doubt it. Vivian despised Bill Frawley. I notice that they rarely even touch.

William Frawley was cruel to Vivian Vance.

In the Christmas Special, Fred kisses Ethel.

I remember reading somewhere that Vivian Vance was going to a therapist because of depression caused mainly by Bill Frawley. Has anyone else heard this?

Read some of the books on Lucy and Desi, and you'll find out that Bill and Vivian got along at first. They had a falling out when they were supposed to do a dance routine on the show, and Bill overheard Viv say that she doubted he could handle it. After that, things deteriorated. Desi wanted them to do a "Fred and Ethel" spinoff when ILL ended, but Viv refused to even consider working with him again, and Bill was not happy when he found this out. Their feud even continued into the 60s, when they were working next door to each other (Bill on "My Three Sons" and Viv on "The Lucy Show").

I have read many times that from the moment Vivian saw Bill Frawley, she resented hom because he was so much older than she was, too heavy, and not a very nice person. She was embarrassed that her character was married to him and voiced her objections . . which he heard about.

I recall only one episode in which they kissed on the lips. Ricky and Fred were in jail, and Lucy and Ethel bailed them out (after they made them sweat it out a little.)

It was a pretty quick one, not like the way Ricky and Lucy used to Kiss!
