Sad Is metal dead?

I keep on reading about the supposed demise of metal. Is it true? Or have a bunch of MTV trendoids been spreading false rumors in order to enhance Justin Timberlake's solo career? Is metal--TRUE metal--a thing of the past, a fading memory?

Metal lives on. I love metal. One day metal will strike back in this massive explosion and rule the airwaves, putting *gag* pop princes and princesses out of a job!

YES, ONE DAY THE GODS OF METAL SHALL ONE DAY RISE, CHAIN THE BRITNEY-WENCHES AND THE CHRISTINA-TARTS TO PEDESTALS OF STEEL, HAVE THEM COWER AND CROUCH BELOW THE MASTERS OF THE STRATOCASTERS AS THEY SHOUT TO THE FOUR CORNERS OF THE HEAVENS---

"DANCE FER ME, BYTCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

(That was a line from "Tattooed Dancer" by Ozzy.)

Well,I think for some people,metal isn't dead and for others,it is.Personally,I'm not a metal fan,but I wouldn't say it's "dead".

Nope.... metal isn't dead. And if it is by society's standards, it isn't for mine. It'll always live on in my heart.
