Mine has to be Robert C. Brand from "1040 or Fight". I think Paul Sand did a great job in that ep, and the writers did a good job of casting such a minor role. He was perfect!

Exclamation Wild Jack Monroe!

The first WJM owner played by Slim Pickens who was a millionaire movie cowboy that was so eccentric, he wore his cowboy clothes while riding a rocking horse while poor Mary was desperately trying to talk him into giving Lou back his job! He was hilarious and even more bombastic than Ted and I wish they'd had him on more than that one episode!

Wild Jack: Well, I'm okay, I'm a cowboy!

I like Twinks too, Leigh Ann!

Default Favourite Minor Character

Mine is Gordie the Weatherman,he can say so much with a look at Ted Baxter.
Also like it when Phyllis works briefly at the newsroom and Phyllis,at her pushy best, invites him to Dinner after just meeting him and he mumbles" Ah Yuh",every time, she gushes "Hi!".

I liked Gordie, too. One of my favorite scenes is between Gordie and Ted from "The Good Time News" (Gordie: "We'll be back with further apologies after this.") along with Mary's coup-de-grace.

As usual, you and I agree! LOL! Gordy was great, especially when everyone kept thinking he was the sportscaster. Ted:You're doing a crackerjack job on sports. Gordy:But I'm the weatherman!

I agree with all of you. Gordy has to be the best minor character on the show. John Amos did a wonderful job with the role of Gordy. I couldn't see anyone else as Gordo, hehe. And yes, 'The Good-Time News' is also one of my personal faves.

Twinks, hmmmmmm she was something else, wasn't she?

She also appeared as "Sparky" in the episode "Divorce Isn't Everything" (they called her Sparky because after her divorce she was all sparkly and bubbly...)

I also liked Rhoda's date, Armand Linton (although her date actually turned out to be Mr. and Mrs. Armand Linton!). We got to see him one more time in the chain letter episode (newly divorced from his wife Nancy... that was such a hoot and a holler!).
