Some people say that shows would get tiring if they did the same thing over and over again. There was a thread on the Brady Bunch board about how the silly tricks were far more frequent (to the point of rammed down one's throat) in the last half of the final season (1973-74). I, for one, wouldn't find the result to be "stale". I could see the following without tiring:
1. Steve Urkel's many scientific experiments and "Did I do that?" accidents in Family Matters 2. Looking back on the music and events of 20 years ago on The Wonder Years, even showing the lives of Kevin and Winnie after age 30 (they'd turn that age in 1986--in either the 2005-06 or 2006-07 season) 3. More Orlando Breakers football games on Coach (16 regular season games plus 4-5 preseason = 20-21 episodes; a few more (playoff games?) complete the season) 4. More slapstick comedy from Larry and Balki on Perfect Strangers involving "I have a plan!" and "Don't be ridiculous" 5. More hilarious accidents on the "Tool Time" setup on Home Improvement 6. Like The Wonder Years, more looking back on simpler times on The Waltons (they did produce a few movies, so that helped) Thoughts, anyone? I mean, I'd enjoy these shows if they became one-dimensional! |

More appearences from "Seinfeld" regulars on "Curb Your Enthusiasm".
More big-name celebrity guest stars on "Curb Your Enthusiasm". More Ted Danson on "Curb Your Enthusiasm". More of "Bobo's" (Larry.Michael and Jeff's restaurant) on "Curb Your Enthusiasm". More "Good Morning Miami" on "Good Morning Miami". |

I personally don't like it when sitcoms use the same plot over and over again. I think it gets very tiresome, boring, predictable, and one-dimensional after awhile. I'm finding that with Everybody Loves Raymond. It used to be a can't-miss show for me, but now I hardly watch anymore, especially the reruns.

The Simpsons is gettin dangerously repetitive always the same basic things in an episode. Homer says "Why you little and chokes Bart" ok can u do something different? Homer says "MMMMMMM donuts" or whatever. Homer borrows something from Ned and doesnt return it. Nelson says Ha Ha. Ralph says something that doesnt make sense.
