Major James Bond fan here & I'll preface this by saying- I *know* Connery is generally seen as the best Bond of all. He was the 1st & he did an amazing job. (you can already see where this is going!)...
BUT- he's not my favorite. He's #2 in my book. My favorite Bond of all is easily Roger Moore. Say what you will about him, but I think Moore had that..."English gentlemanliness" that all of the others lacked. (& He was the only true Englishman of the bunch!) Sure there was lots of humor in his Bond, but who doesn't like humor? (although I'll admit *some* of it got silly in his series) I was a kid in the 70s & I think his Bond was very kid-friendly. (look at Moonraker. ie: Star Wars) "Spy Who Loved Me" & "Live & Let Die" are my 2 faves. I also understand that Moore was Ian Fleming's original choice for the role, but he was unavailabe at the time. Anyway, if anything, I think Moore's Bond car still beats the crap outta any of them before or since. The one from The Spy Who Loved Me that converted to a submarine. That 1977 design still looks cool today! (that 'invisible' one "Die Another Day" *was* kinda cool, but a liiiittle *too* far fetched. Roger's car: http://www.darkside.com.au/lotus/lotus06.jpg |

I grew up with Roger Moore as Bond, so he was always first in my eyes.
Though not the best Bond movie, For Your Eyes Only is one of my favorites. |

2 Moore fans onboard w/ me! "For Your Eyes Only" was a *great* movie! They thankfully cut down on the cartoonishness & got a little more serious...A little!
It's my 3rd fave of them all.Brosnan's my #3 choice. I didn't like Dalton at all. Zero charisma. Too serious. *waits for onslaught of Connery fans*... |

Sean Connery is James Bond!!!! Pierce Brosnan is second. I think Roger Moore was the worst one.

By the way, did you ever see "Ffolkes" with Roger Moore?
Pretty good flick with Moore as a very unassuming hero and Anthony Perkins as a nut (not much of stretch) badguy. |

I think I prefer Connery.
A friend and I were discussing Bond the other night and one hit wonder Bond George Lazenby's name came up. Does anyone know his nationality? I thought he was Austrailian. |

My favorite Bond was Roger Moore also & my grandfather's favorite Bond is Roger. My mother likes Sean Connery as the best Bond. I like A View To A Kill & Octopussy with Roger Moore. I also like Never Say Never Again with Sean & Kim Basinger. I liked that Bond movie with Timothy Dalton, i forgot the name of it but Patti Labelle sang the theme song If U Ask Me To. Timothy had 2 cute women in that movie. I haven't seen any of the Bond movies with Pierce Brosnan but i wanna see Die Another Day with my hometown Cleveland girl Halle Berry. What's the name of that Bond movie with Pierce that had Teri Hatcher in it? I think Teri is cute.
