Andy in 2 pilots for CBS - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Andy Richter will be in 2 (that's right 2) comedy pilots for CBS.The 1st is "The Lunchbox Chronicles" which also stars Monica Potter.The other is "Harry's Girl" about a talking dog.It'll star Christine Taylor (wife of Ben Stiller) and Andy as the voice of the talking dog.

Does this mean that ARCTU is officially gone?

Here's what tvtome says:

Today Reuters/Variety reports that "Fox has not yet decided the fate of its critically acclaimed laffer 'Andy Richter Controls the Universe.' While prospects for the show don't look good --Fox pulled it for the February sweeps and it didn't return this week to its 9:30 p.m. Sunday slot as planned -- there's always a chance the network could have a change of heart and order more episodes". Meanwhile, "Andy Richter has signed to star in a CBS Pilot, 'Lunchbox Chronicles,' in second position..." (meaning CBS will gamble on "Universe" failing to obtain the Actor).

Hopefully, ARCTU will get renewed and Andy will just be replaced in those CBS pilots.

It would be hard to see Andy in a different sitcom. I mean I hope everything goes great for him, but in my opinion, he can't be in a better sitcom than "Andy Richter Controls the Universe." I hope FOX renews the show for another season and/or releases every episode on DVD.

My God, what the Hell is going through the minds of these Hollywood geniuses?

ARCTU is a great show, and FOX treated it like crap.

Anyways, if ARCTU is cancelled I'd much rather see Andy in The Lunchbox Chronicles. I don't want him to be a voice but a person.

I hope Oliver Beene fails miserably and theyre forced to bring back Andy. But wait... why bring back Andy when they can put up another reality show??

Ditto. I really wish FOX would get rid of all it's reality shows so we could see more scripted shows. For the first time I watched Boston Public last night and thought it was a good show but I bet FOX will probably cancel it to make room for more reality shows, thats what they seem to do to everything else.
