Default Anyone think E! True Hollywood Story does a bad job in discussing old sitcoms?

I personally think the E1 Network can do a better job in giving us the facts about old sitcoms. It seems like everytime I watch this program, there are so many unanswered questions which made the program pointless. I did find anything out when I watched THS of Good Times, Three's Company, Different Strokes, and Facts of Life. This THS story program reminds me of Biography of A&E. I want to hear about the SHOW!!!not the biography of the actors. Any thoughts?

No they didn't because they never mentioned what happened to Mike and Nikii. Those were the characters on Miss Bliss that was not mentioned. And i didn't understand that because if they mentioned the show Miss Bliss-they there should have been a explanation why Nikki and Mikey was let go.

Sometimes they do an okay job and other times they do kind of a bad job. Like the Diff'rent Strokes story, might as well call that the Gary, Todd, and Dana story. It mainly just talked about their troubles. Yeah, they should talk about some of their trouble, but we're talking about a 2 hour show that talked about the actual show for about 30 minutes. The rest was dedicated to the troubles that Gary, Todd, and Dana had.

Werm well I like the E! THS. They can't explain everything so I think they do a good job since they have to fit what they think people are most interested in as a majority. However, some of them center more on the scandal around the person/people from the show instead of talking about the person's life/the show, like the Diff'rent Strokes one.

Exactly, they should have done celebrity profiles for all those actors instead of calling it the true hollywood story Different Strokes. Instead it was THS of Dana plato, todd bridges, and gary coleman

Thumbs down

I think they do do a bad job.

With the I dream of Jeannie one they made it look like Larry Hagman (Major Nelson) hated the show, well in fact his is proud of it.

They also made it look like the actors didn't get on with each other. The 3 main cast that are still alive today, Larry Hagman, Barbara Eden and Bill Daily are still good friends and recall their time on I dream of Jeannie fun. Barbara Eden said that her and Hagman became close and had a wonderful time together, after I dream of Jeannie Eden and Hagman teamed up 3 more times to work together. Billy Daily loves them so much he said he wants to act with them again before their time is up.

Actually, I'm pretty sure the Diff'rent Strokes E! True Hollywood Story was just meant to focus on Dana, Todd and Gary. It was afterall titled "The Diff'rent Strokes Kids" or something along those lines, like for the Facts of Life one, it was "The Facts of Life Girls." Sure, that could mean the show itself, but it was mainly centered on the girls, not the show as a whole.

TVOgraphy (A&E) and TV Tales (E!) do better jobs. True Hollywood Story generally focuses on scandals, etc, while the others focus on the show itself.

I didn't care to much for the Three's Company THS...All they did was talk about Suzanne...I think ET does a better job of profiling Sitcoms...
