Be a fair judge?
I've been watching the new Star Search lately and the new celebrity judges. If you watch the show, you know that each show has three main judges Naomi Judd, Ben Stein, and Ahmet Zappa. The fourth chair changes every show. What do you think? Would he be a nice judge, a tough judge, maybe a mean judge?

I think Freddie would be a wonderful judge! His training and talents were in so many areas that he would be well-qualified to judge not only the comedians but also the singers and dancers.
I bet he would at least pretend to be a bit like Simon on "American Idol", just for the comic effect. But he would really be more sympathetic to those who didn't do so well--so that even when he thought someone had done a fantastic job, he wouldn't hurt the feelings of the not-so-good by praising the great ones toooo much. He would be very fair. And I KNOW he would flirt outrageously with the female contestants LOL! |

If you watch it next I think we should try and guess which contestant we think Freddie would pick as the winner. what do you think???? |

Having Freddie be a part of the judging would be wonderful as well nerve wracking. My luck I would be twirling a baton having it fly up in the air and it would land on his head..... Better yet if that would happen I would have to run up and kiss his sore sweet noggin! Hee hee,.

I agree with you all. I think Freddie would have been a wonderful judge. Never saying anything hurtful to any of the contestants. I'm sure he would have remembered back to when he was struggling in the comedy clubs. He was too gentle and loving not to be sweet to everyone who was giving it thier best shot, realizing how much the opportunity meant to each one.

I think Freddie would be a fair, funny, trusting, hysterical judge.
Freddie would always remember from where he came so he would really pay attention to each one of the contestants and judge them fairly.

Hi!
I've come back to jog your brains again. We've heard your ideas of the type of judge he would be, now I'm wondering what type of contestant do you think he would be? Also, should he stick to comedy or maybe sing or maybe even dance? If he danced, would you want to be his partner? (Kinda a dumb question, I know ) Just anxious to hear your ideas!

Okay Dani.........
![]() I think if Freddie was a contestant he should go with his humor and wit. When I first saw Freddie he was on the Johnny Carson show and I fell in love ......... Imagine if he were here today? Gazillions of gals (And some guys) would be in love with him all over again... So I say his Comedic style.........

I agree his humor was the thing that first won people over (if they were not immediately grabbed by his sultry good looks LOL!). But a show like this would be the perfect vehicle for Freddie to prove that his musical abilities were just as great as his comedic ones, if not greater. Having a group of celebrity "peers" validate him as a singer (and/or guitarist, pianist, composer) would probably have meant the world to Freddie!

I have to agree about the comedy although I would love to hear him sing!!!!
I bet Naomi Judd would give him five stars just to look at him. LOL and as far as dancing with hims to use Suzanne's phrase woo hoo I bet he would have been marvelous at Dirty dancing like Patrick Swayze what do you think??? |

I would think his comedy would be a big part of it. He was always making everyone laugh and smile.
His singing.... His background singing on "To be with you" with Tony Orlando and Dawn was sooo sexy! His dancing moves are priceless! Notice his funky sway in the retirement episode .Fredddie is dancing while the music is playing at the start the dance lesson!!! OMG! Freddie got his groove back!!! Bust a move Freddie!

I think he would want to do his stand up comedy routine. If he were making his start today, his routine would be different, but still fresh and funny and way better than anyone else's!
(I've never seen star search; sounds intriguing!) |
