Fonzie's office in the restroom - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I know sometime very early in this show's run. When someone wanted to talk to Fonzie privately, he would tell them to "step inside my office," walk in to the Mens room, kick out whoever was there, and talk to them. This routine was very common during the shows run. Sometime late in the series run (post-Richie, I believe) someone put a desk in the restroom(!) This was very stupid, IMHO. Can anybody here explain how this came to be?

I really don't think it was stupid, but Al gave him the Desk in the 7th season when He & Fonz rebuilt Arnolds after the fire, they both Co-owned the Restaraunt.

Yeah. It was a present from Al. He said since Fonzie always called it his office, it might as well be one

I don't think it's that strange...My office is the bathroom too!

I liked the desk idea though if I were new to Arnold's and a guy, I'd probably be a little bit confused...

Well, IMO, Fonzies original office was the best.

When he had the desk, it was like they were making it part of the storyline. I dunno, I just found it more amusing when the bathroom wasnt really an office then when it was. Know what I mean? LOl

Nah. I Liked the Original Arnolds best, But i liked the Bathroom in the new one best.
