Is it just me, or did the George Jefferson character of 1973 look much much older on that the George Jefferson of the 1980's? It seemed like each season from 75, helooked younger and younger from his All in the Family days. To me, he looked 50ish on All in the Family and 40ish on the Jeffersons.

Well, you do know that they put gray in Sherman's hair. They may have done that to make him look more like Isabel's age. After all, he is 21 years younger than her.
John Amos had the same thing done to him in Maude and at the beginning of Good Times. Rue McClanahan had the same thing done to her during the 1st season of Maude. Then they decided to drop the whole thing. Not to mention the endless number of actresses that guest starred on Sanford & Son, making them more Redd Foxx's age. Ja'net Dubois and Lynn Hamilton being two examples. |

I always wonder why the grayness was no longer in George 's hair after a couple of seasons. |
