I'm writing this essay right now in school and Its "How can a Criminal record affect your future" and I have nooooo idea what to write. I just need an opening paragraph and then I can write the rest. can anyone help me?

uh well im sure it'll make it harder to find a job if you're a convicted felon...

um...that's hard!
Well, um, you can't get rid of one, once you have a record, you're stuck with it.
And you probably won't make many friends, because where ever you move, you will probably have to register as a convicted felon... which would suck.
I dunno!

Having a criminal record can affect your future by making it more difficult to find a decent job. There are a lot of companies that wont hire you if you have a criminal record, especially if you have been arrested for robbery or breaking into some place. Sometimes it may be harder to find a place to live. Especially if you are moving into an apartment building. Some landlords may feel that a person with a criminal record might "contaminate" their community...there are other things i'm sure...i just cant think of them right now...
