Didn't they say on the last show that her mom wasn't really gay, that it was Jackie who was gay? I could be wrong but that's what I remember.

Yeah i remember Roseanns mom saying something about being gay or there was an episode like that im not sure if it was the last or not. I do remember in the final that Roseann said Jackie was gay. Anyways to get a bit off the subject anyone rember the episode where Bev supposedly broke her hip during sex and Fred throws it in her face, LOL
Weird! |

If you remember the last episode, that's where we find out that entire series was the story of Roseanne's life with some things changed around. In that episode we find out that Jackie was actually the one who was gay and not Bev. Roseanne just made Bev gay (in her story which was the whole series) because she'd rather have her mom gay than her sister.

Actually I thought Bev was hilarious when she was gay, daft storyline like but settled down and quite enjoyed the show where she visited her Mums with Leon and Scott. Good telly.

Not Laurie Metcalfe but Geraldine Barr (Roseanne's real life sister) Laurie Metcalfe has two children and is married to Matt ROth who played Fisher Jackies boyfriend on the show.

Roseanne the character wanted Bev to be gay because she wanted her to be a strong independent woman and not a slave to a man, like the real Bev was, who thought your life couldn't be complete without a man.
She didn't want Jackie to be gay and that is why she always tried to set her up with men all the time. The more I see the last episode the more I like it. Very real, which is what Roseanne was all about, being real. She had to go through the crazy world of season nine to come back to reality and admit it had all been a story. She didn't like her real life so she changed it. It stays true to the series because she always wanted to be a writer and ultimately she wrote the best story ever told, nine years of Roseanne. it also says to me the real Roseanne was in control the whole time, no matter how many producers or writers there were. |

I like how at the end of the episode they went around the table like they did in the theme song. I also liked how it went back to the original house. Though I get real confused I think Into that Good Night parts 1 and 2 are on my list for favorite episodes! It was weird thinking Bev was gay, I thought it was hilarious on the thanksgiving episode when she was like "The only way I could have sex with your father is if I looked at playboys!" LOL
