I would like to know details about one of the episodes of the I Love Lucy show. The situation involved a publicity scheme by Ricky's agent to have Ricky and Lucy portrayed as a happily married couple. A reporter plants the idea that Ricky is having an affair, and so Lucy storms down to confront the would be love flame.

What is the title of that episode? When was it initially presented?

There was an episode where a reporter had breakfast with the Ricardos and spent the morning with Lucy interviewing. Ricky's publicity agent sent cards inviting women to the night club, I think every lady that had been there in the last five years. When Ricky came home for lunch, Lucy found one of the cards in his pocket. Her and Ethel went to confront the lady named on the card. Turns out, the lady was old and hard of hearing, definitely not affair material.

The episode was titled "Fan Magazine Interview" and originally aired on February 8, 1954. Hope this helps.
