Default Richie and Potsie

How come Richie and Potsie were best friends in the first season, Than Richie slowly began to like Both Fonzie and Ralph Better? Have you ever noticed that? Most of the episodes after the 4th Season or so barely even had Richie Talking to Potsie unles Ralph was with him. And in Welcome Home, Richie had emotional scenes with both Fonzie and Ralph, Yet the one scene he has alone with Potsie youd think they barely even knew each other. How did Richie and Potsie go from being best friends to basically total strangers? I Never understood that.

Cool

fonzie came right along and stole potsies part.

as we saw in the love american style pilot, potsie was the older brother, lets get into trouble typoe for richie. when fonzie was added later, he became the role model. Basically, the fonz screwed over both Potsie and Chuck.

That's the one thing that makes me mad at Fonzie...

I know. I wonder what the Show would have been like if Fonzie HADNT been so popular? That would be odd to see!

Dont get me wrong, I Like Fonzie and Ralph alot. But they really screwed up Richie's life. They took away his best friend and his brother!

Could someone spoil Welcome Home for me & tell me what these scenes were?
I've been trying to buy/trade for this episode for AGES with no luck. My last effort broke down when my potential trading partner found she couldn't play my kind of videotape

OK, you all know that I have to speak and and preserve Fonzie's honor here. I don't think Fonz had any intention of moving in and taking over. Chuck was an airhead. I mean, Richie couldn't even live with him without getting annoyed. No one could hold a conversation with him. And as much as we might like him, I don't think we can make a very strong argument that he was a "people" person. Chuck and Richie never connected. Potsie and Richie made for a cool friendship. But, Fonzie was in a point in life where he needed a responsible friend to help him calm down. Richie needed someone to help him break loose. Fonz respected Richie because Richie was honest, intelligent, kind, generous, etc. Richie took up for Fonz when no one else did (ex, Look Who's Coming For Chrsitams) and Fonz fought Richie's battles even when Richie was less than friendly to him (the ep where they kick Fonz out of the band). Fonz tried being friends with Ralph and Potsie, but they annoyed him to no end. In fact, Fonz often advised Richie to be loyal to his friends, Potsie and Ralph (ex, the one where Richie's fraternity tried to tell him who to be friends with). Fonz and Richie just clicked because even though they were from opposite sides of the track, so to speak, they were very similar in personality. They balanced each other out. I honestly can't see Potsie ever being able to relate to Richie like Fonzie could.
