Default What should happen with Frasier's lovelife? (at/by the end of the of the series)

I think he should go back to Lilith because Lilith and Frasier are the only two people on Earth who could tolerate each other's faults, obessions, neuroses and still remain sane. IMO Frasier and Lilith still love each other even if neither party is willing to admit it.

It can be completely dehumanizing, and I'm way too sensitive." -- Bebe Neuwirth

I noticed you didn't put Roz as an option. I must say I'm glad that business is dead and gone...

In my (rather cynical) opinion, Frasiers's love life is one of the few things that I find irritating about the show. When he's single he moans about having a pathetic love life (yeah right, Frasier). When he's in a happy relationship he obsesses about it. For some bizzare reason he has little difficulty attracting many beautiful young women despite his age (the age of those characters has never increased alongside his), but whenever he's in a relationship, even when she's "the one" he always screws it up after a few episodes at the very longest. (Probably to allow maximum young-attractive-girlfriend quantity in the series)

Perhaps Lilith is the one for Fraiser, but the writers don't seem to see it that way. It looks to me as though they share a very strong platonic friendship together, perhaps made stronger by their past relationship. Having said that, I haven't yet seen Lilith Needs a Favour so I could be wrong.

I think Frasier needs a long term relationship (more than just a couple of episodes) with someone new to make him happy and, of course, to shut him up for a while!

Martin: And if you and Lilith got back together, you'd be his step-father AND his brother, and Niles would be your son... and his own uncle!

It's almost worth doing just so that I can tell the story!

I would have liked to see Frasier end up with Lilith again but after she slept with Niles I think it would be kind of a perverse ending to the show. I agree with Frasierfan1983, his love life can be irritating but I also believe that's by design. I'd like to see them end the show with Frasier finding someone he could be happy with.

Frasier should end up with someone by the time the show ends. I don't think it'll be Lilith because the writers put the kabosh on that idea this season. Whoever it is, they should start introducing that character because the show doesn't have that much time left.

Cool

Given his repeated failure to settle down with a woman, it would be nice to see him happy with a handsome young man.

I don't understand why so many people want him to get back together with Lillith, I think that he needs to just find someone new.

THe reason I think Lilith and Frasier should be together is becasuse of how long they've been through, and more importantly, what they've been through. You can see it, especially in the Cheers episode, "The Bar Manager, The Shrink, His Wife, and her Lover". Watch that and you've got to see. That is what's right for the series.

They've also been through hell (As Frasier frequently reminds us), not to mention a divorce. And they've shown very little, if any, sign of attraction to one another for the past few seasons. IMO this is not much basis for a reconcilliation of any romantic nature, let alone remarriage.

Frasier and Lilith may appear good for one another in the 'Cheers' episodes (although even that didn't seem the case in all the ones I have seen) but in 'Frasier' times have clearly changed.

Sorry if it sounds cynical, but the Frasier/Lilith romantics will have to put up with being just that - romantics. At least as far as the scriptwriters see it.

Hmm, what you're describing sounds alot like Diane and Sam's realationship, and people seem to be crazy about them getting together! I think it's really a matter of opinion, and we'll only hope for what we want to hope for.

I agree it's like the Sam and Diane relationship and people still want them to be together. Frasier and Lilith have been through a lot of stuff but that doesntmean they shouldnt be together..
