It starred James Whitmore and Enzo Cerusico. It was from 1969.

This was a very good show, similar in feel in a lot of ways to I Spy. Cerusico was extremely likeable and Whitmore was doing his typical grouchy mentor role. The story editor was a young James L. Brooks before he went on to work on some of the best shows in the medium's history.

A few nice color episodes with original commercials are in circulation. I have the episode called INTERMISSION. More will be coming.

By the way, if you're a James Whitmore fan, also look for THE LAW & MR. JONES and TEMPERATURE'S RISING - two MORE short-lived shows.

I don't want to jinx it but let's just say there's a possibility the whole series may be coming

Anyone Agree that a short-lived would have less appeal if it was on Amazon.com rather than someone selling an Old VHS or Beta Tape with the show on it? I think I'm only attracted to a show-lived show that i don't see on a lot of trading lists.

It has appeal to me if it's a good show or not. The availability of it is secondary. I have a lot of rare shows that suck.

I have had that and another one for 20 years. But I've never seen more than those 2. The official release has hit a snag so the collector's market may be it for this show.
