Cool Diff'rent Strokes Movie

I think it would be great to see a movie done on the lives of the "Diff'rent Strokes" cast. I think it would be a great way to show the public the many misconceptions about the characters off the screen, so that we may know the truth. In addition, I would love to understand how and why the Brady Brunch (no offense) gets so much exposure when it only lasted 5 seasons--which is good? Whereas, "Diff'rent Strokes" lasted 8 seasons--which is great--and the show ideas were wonderful, along with the execution of the lines. And I would like to end with saying to Todd and Gary--you guys are the strongest men on the planet. It's very hard to live public lives and still be human and make mistakes or not make mistakes and it be broadcasted all across the country whether it be truth or lie---In the end good prevails and you both will be rewarded in a great way for your survival in a world that can be so cruel. Just always know that you have positive energy being spread across the world. One day I hope to work behind the scenes in entertainment, and I will never forget your talent. I hope to work with you both and create some magic again.

They already made a movie about Diff'rent Strokes that showed on FOX about a month ago. It was pretty good, actually (imho). However, I think that the Brady's are more popular because they where more embedded into the culture than 'Stokes ever was. Brady Bunch books, cartoons, records... everything imaginable came out regarding the Brady kids! And because there where so many different kids, it was easy for ANYONE to identify with at least one of the characters. You also have to look at the different types of kids who where growing up watching these shows; the Brady audience was during an era where kids didn't know it was okay to tell an adult if someone was abusing them or touching them innapropriately, so kids of that time looked to the Brady Bunch as an escape. Bobby and Cindy never had to worry about Sam the Butcher molesting them! But then we get to Diff'rent Storkes, and the climate of America has changed. All sorts of programs are springing up for kids to understand what is going on, and 'Stokes was right there to help the kids learn! "Just say NO!" and the episode where the owner of a toy store molests Duddley are both perfect examples. The kids that grew up watching 'Strokes where more well adjusted, and didn't need to psychologically latch-on to the characters. At least, that's my oppinion on the subject.

CCH, that "movie" which Silentbri does not exist. There was never a DS movie made, at any time.

Silentbri, please don't go posting made up information as though it's a fact, all it does is confuse otehrs.

That's a documentary though isn't it? It's more about the actors real lives rather than a movie type thing like the Brady Bunch Movie.

But nevermind, whatever.

I've never seen the movie, but I would like to. This way I can judge for myself whether or not it was any good. These kinds of movies always spark my interests.
