What are your thoughts on eating disorders? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Just curious on what people think of eating disorders. I don't have one, but everyone thinks I do. And no I'm not afraid to tell you guys my weight I bounce back and forth from 102 to 110. Everyone in my family thinks I'm either anorexic or bulimic. So I once passed out and stopped breathing when I came back from my trip from Florida and I was rushed to the hospital. The doctors kept asking me if I was anorexic. I don't know why people think I am.
I don't have a problem with people who do I mean thats their buisness and their life, but I like to stay average not anorexic and not fat. Okay, thats my rant.

I don't eat breakfast, I rarely eat lunch, so all the kids in school everyday screech "You're gonna turn anorexic!". I'm not even that light, though. I'm 5'3 and 108 pounds. Not exactly what you would call "light." I've had past bouts with Bulimia, but I had caught it before I had done any damage to myself. I really think that sometimes if I ate breakfast I could do better in school, but I'm sorry. I just can't eat that early in the morning. As for lunch, well yeah... I do skip that to keep my weight managed.. but I wouldn't go as far to say I'm an Anorexic. I'm far from it....

I never ate breakfast when I was going to school. I do now though, but that was way to early for me to eat and then I would feel like I was going to throw my food up anyway. I'm 5'2 so I'm about the same as you. I don't think I'm anorexic and just thinking about throwing up my food gives me the chills so I can't be bulimic either.

Well I'm 5'4 and I know if I weighed 108 pounds I'd be doin' a jig.

I don't have an eating disorder but I think one of my friends does. I've been so worried about her for the past 3 years.

kinda scary, and wrong. but, they CAN help you lose weight. it wouldn't be a good diet recommendation or anything... -- i used to be quite chubby, so i starved myself, and lost weight. and i look good now. i got myself to eat again, so it's all good.

Don't encourage people!!! Once you start it's reaaaally hard to stop. That goes with any type of eating disorder.. bulimia especially.

I always eat something for breakfast, but I can't stand the whole arbitrary bacon/eggs/potatoes kinda thing. Eat whatever. Well, within reason prolly. Don't do like I do on occasion and eat cold pizza and warm beer before church...Okay, maybe you can. My brother suprised me and told me he never eats breakfast. I like a whole package of oatmeal cookies and milk, myself. Best way to eat oatmeal.

eating disorders take over your life sooo fast, its just not a good place to go. it isnt worth it to risk your life over numbers on a scale and thin is extremley overrated.

Holly I have the same problem as You I just have good Metabolism so I'm thin but I dont starve myself or make myself throw up ALSO I do pass out if I dont eat because i'm Hypoglecimic for some reason PEOPLE always seem to think I"m anorexic but I'm not
