Great! Hazel, The Flying Nun and Gidget are back!

Thanks for posting the schedule, Pav. I'm glad that some of these shows are returning, but does this mean that Archie Bunker's Place, The Munsters and The Love Boat will leave TV Land in April or are they just on hiatus?

This means that The Donna Reed Show will only be on Sundays, correct?

I'm a little ticked they are dropping the Munsters before the rights expire; I mean, I have most of the episodes anyway, but I was trying to catch the few I missed.

All these changes are kind of strange, IMO, I think all are just fillers until new programming comes, at least, I hope. I'm glad to get a second chance for Gidget, and The Flying Nun, but still odd changes.

Same for The Waltons, I mean, Hallmark has the full rights, why would TV Land bring it back?

The Donna Reed Show does not even air on Sundays currently. Sundays BLTT block airs, and the BLTT block schedule for April is not out yet, hopefully Donna Reed will be in that block in April.

I was wondering the same thing, I think they were trying to get rid of The Munsters, before or around when Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie come in June, but I knew it was going to leave TV Land at some point, because they will lose the rights in May, and they won't be renewing it.

As for The Waltons, I don't know why TV Land is deciding to air it again. I guess they figured since Hallmark is airing it, they might as well as air it too while they still own rights to it. It may give them better ratings, maybe they figured that more people will have a better chance to watch it on TV Land, since many people don't have Hallmark.

It is kind of odd that they are bringing some of these shows back, I thought some of these shows left a long time ago, LOL. Although, it will be great seeing some them again.

Hmm, I guess I better start recording some copies of ABP. I like to make copies straight from the tv. I don't like plugging 2 vcrs together and recording a copy that way. Yeah, guess I better start making copies.

I'm seeing the Kitschen schedule as follows:

12:00 - Kotter
12:30 - Soap
1:00 - Square Pegs
1:30 - My Favorite Martian

This is the same as the previous Kitschen, so it's possible that my listing hasn't been updated yet and this could be wrong.

Gidget and The Flying Nun, huh? I'm glad they are back.

The Munsters and ABP leaving? (or at least being bumped from current timeslots) Tapes to ready, then.

It's good to see some change in TV Land, as they prepare for Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie and Mr. Ed.

Also, this means Hallmark will have a big chunk of their lineup gone? A hint of a return of Comedy Kickback, perhaps? Fans of Beverly Hillbillies, Hogan's Heroes, Gomer Pyle and Facts of Life may want to keep an eye out...

Am I reading this right? How in sam hill are they going to air Gidget everyday from 5-6? They only made 32 episodes! That's ridiculous. Thank you, Sally, for being so famous we have to watch your crummy shows. Thank you, TVLand, for being just stupid enough to run them.

I'm guessing Gidget will only be for one month, wonder what will replace it--hoping for What's Happening!! (since it IS Screen Gems...)

I agree that "Gidget" shouldn't be ran two episodes a day (the entire series would be over in less than a month), but I don't think that Sally's shows are at all crummy. I think she is a great actress, and I think we are lucky to be able to see ALL of these wonderful, classic, and somewhat rare shows. This is how I'd make the Kitschen and BLTT:

KITSCHEN:
(all times central)

11PM: "Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman/Forever Fernwood" (1976-1978)
11:30: "Soap" (1977-1981)
12AM: "Gidget" (1965-1966)
12:30: "Welcome Back, Kotter" (1975-1979)

BETTER LIVING THROUGH TELEVISION:
(all times central)

8AM: "Burns and Allen" (1950-1958)
8:30: "The Honeymooners" (1952-1956)
9AM: "I Love Lucy" (1951-1957)
9:30: "Hazel" (1961-1966)
10AM: "The Donna Reed Show" (1958-1966)
10:30: "Father Knows Best" (1954-1960)

In April, I'd also add a new block, for Saturday and Sunday daytime:

PRIMETIME BACKSTABBING:
(all times central)

11AM: "Dallas" (1978-1991)
12PM: "Knots Landing" (1979-1993)
1PM: "Dynasty" (1981-1989)
2PM: "Falcon Crest" (1981-1990)

The Kitschen should go for shows that are very rare or obscure.Kotter is neither of those IMO.It ran on N@N and made a star out of John Travolta and just about everybody has seen it plus it was about a normal school. No witchcraft,No aliens,No talking babies.A kitschen show IMO should be either rare and/or short-lived (IE:Square Pegs) or weird (IE:Tabitha,Soap and Mary Hartman).Kotter just doesn't seem to fit in IMO.
