Question Frank Bank

Does anyone know what Frank Bank was like off the set during the series?

You should read his book. He was apparently a "wild man." He says in his book that he and his friends had wild beach parties, and he said himself that he's had sex with over 1000 women (mostly during his teen years and early 20s). He was nothing like Lumpy, because some of the stuff he did would have gotten him kicked out of Mayfield!

I have not read Frank Bank's book yet. Does he mention what Tony Dow and Ken Osmond were like off the set?

I read Frank Bank's book last summer, and I don't remember too much about Tony, but I think it was all good. He had fun with Tony on the set. He really didn't spend a lot of time talking about Leave it to Beaver actually. It was an odd book, with a boasting style, which I found amusing, but I'm not sure how much I believe everything he wrote. I preferred Jerry Mather's autobiography, but both are interesting.

Ken, on the other hand, wrote the forward, and between that and what Frank wrote about him, you get the picture that Ken is completely the opposite of Frank. He's not as boasting, he's more down-to-earth, he's more conservative, more family-oriented, he's just a really nice guy. I remember one part where Frank said he and Tony used to make fun of Ken's car, because it was so nerdy. I think they all had fun together. I'd love it if Tony Dow and Ken Osmond wrote their autobiographies. Tony seems like a very private person though.

That may be in his book, but I'm having a hard time believing it..... I'm not saying that his personal life was like Clarance, but let's get real... I was voted most attractive in my senoir class in high school, and I don't come even close to 1,000 sex partners. (I also have higher morals than that, too.) But... once a Lumpy, always a Lumpy!!!

It's called "Call me Lumpy", which is cute, because on the show, he was constantly saying "Don't call me Lumpy". In real life, Frank's VERY proud of the role, hence the title.

Yeah, thanks! I heard somewhere that on his license plate, he has "IM LUMPY" written on it! Now, wouldn't you want to see that driving around?!

I would also love to see Tony Dow and Ken Osmond write their autobiographies! (Complete with lots of pictures too!)

I don't believe it either, but it's definitely in his book. He definitely doesn't win MY vote for good looking.

I don't know what to believe in his book, but you have to remember he was on tv. Unfortunately, that means a LOT to some people. I mean, look how many girls rock stars get (groupies), and sometimes they are SO ugly and disgusting!!!!

That is so true. It seems like so many are admired just because they are famous -- no matter how disgusting and trashy they are! (Hard to understand what those girls see!)

In one part of it Tony Dow yells , "Up yours , *******!" but i think he was mostly okay. it also said he was very athletic.
