Angry a MAJOR complaint...

I bet you all thought I was going to single someone out and say "they sucked, why couldn't they have done the show without (so and so) anyway!?" but NOPE! I don't say things like that.

COLOURIZING OLD B/W episodes! I just got a video copy of Wrongway Feldman/President Gilligan in the mail and I was all excited until I saw the back. Teeth and eyes bluish white? Skin an alienish palor? WHAT WERE THEY THINKING??? It didn't make it look better, I wanted to see it in the original black and white!

Ok, I had to rant. Anyone else agree when it comes to the original ones before colour that they should have been left alone? It's like colourizing Casablanca or something, it just shouldn't be done!

*shrugs* Or maybe it's me.

I haven't seen any of the colorized episodes yet, but I have to admit I'm curious. Don't get me wrong, I am very much AGAINST colorizations. (They did actually colorize Casablanca, what are they thinking???) But since I already have seen all of the b&w episodes, I just want to see what they'd look like in color. But I'd never PAY for it. Just my opinion!

My cousin had a colorized episode and since I was curious I wanted to watch it.It looked really weird in my opinion and I was really disapointed. So I agree episodes that are in black and white should be left alone.

Cool

As soon as I figure out how to copy a video onto the computer as an avi file, I'll be willing to pass on the colourized episodes I have on video in case anyone else wants to see how cruddy they look.

My kingdom for a black and white tv at times...lol!

...or I can check with my roommate's uncle upstairs who has every known thing a computer CAN have in his "laboratory" of a computer room.

*sighs* even so, he's a procrastinator and it'd be better for me to buy my own...yeah, THAT'll take a while.

ahh well *shrugs* We'll see.

They should've left it alone. It just takes the specialness out of it to change a black & White episode to color...

I really don't like the black and white episodes that much. I prefer the colorized episodes of the first season a whole lot better.

I've been recording GI off TBS as well and I must say, I am enjoying the colorized eps. Although, a couple weeks ago they showed the first WrongWay Feldman episode (the colorized version) right in the middle of the 3rd season eps and at first it through me for a loop. I didn't realize they had turned the old b/w eps into color. Took me awhile to get my brain in gear and figure out I was watching a 1st season ep and not a 3rd season one.
