I have talked to someone who knows Dawn Wells, and other people that worked with Tina Louise, and this was all the GOOD stuff abotu Tina. They didn't even BEGIN to portray how bad Tina could be about some stuff.

Well think about this, Dawn Wells now admits she was lying about mentioning the Movie to Tina, so how can you believe a movie SHE did, when she just turned around and lied about the Tina thing. Can u really trust her??? and come on! that movie made her look like a total angel! and you know that can't be true. they totally misquoted Tina in that movie as well, which is a HUGE reason it made her look bad.

I can believe it, because I have heard testimonials from other stars to support that fact. I once read a story on the official website of the replacement of Tina in the TV movies, and the first thing Jim Backus said to her was something like "So, you're the new Ginger? I hope you're not as mean as the last one." So, given word from Dawn, and quotes from other stars, plus stuff that others have said about it, I CAN believe Dawn. I'm sorry, if you want to worship Tina as a god or something, you may, but don't try to rub off those misplaced feelings on others.

Dawn never lied about showing the script to Tina, she didn't even hide the fact that she didn't. She said that Tina has never chosen to participate, so that's probably why they just didn't bother w/ her this time. And when Tina got her say on Howard Stern (???) she never said that they misquoted her, she also didn't deny anything that they said she did. So it didn't put her in the most likable light, it's her own fault.

Didn't they also say something about how Tina didn't like the way the movie portrayed her *before* it aired? And then later in the segment she said something about how she hadn't seen the script. So she kinda assumed they'd portray her badly (unless she got to see the movie ahead of time, which I don't know).
Personally, I don't think they portrayed her that badly at all. It coulda been worse.

yes she did actually. she said that she sent a copy of the script to Tina in advance on one of the ET episodes this past week. and on the one last night, she said that she did not.

and by the way, you dont have to hear it from anyone to tell when she is misquoted. read some interviews with her, and then listen to people quoting her, they r all off. In the restaurant part of the Movie, They had Tina saying things like "No i'm Tina, and no im from new york" in a really snobby tone of voice. Tina dmits she said that before, but never in that tone of voice.

And if I were her, I would have said that too, even if I were lying. If you are a person that used to be in show business or are in show business, younever admit to being anything BUT nice, and she's NEVER going to let people know that, despite what SHE says, she really was as bad as she is portrayed.

Red face

Dawn didn't direct it, it's the actor and the director's call on how you read your lines. Reading a line in a certain tone is NOT misquoting! For the last time, Tina NEVER said she was misquoted, so will you stop defending her for things she's not even complaining about!

That movie was just showing us how stuck up Tina was during those years of GI! If anyone should get upset it should be the cast over Tina for thinking she could run the show! Thinking shes the star, what a bunch of crap! How dare she get upset over that movie, it's her fault she's a hate full little witch! Honestly can't some people move on?

Ok, Tinasmylife, I'm just going to say this one more time so please listen. The fact that she's made films since does not mean that her career has been all that successful. I don't think any of them have gone all that far from GI. The members with the most impressive filmography since GI are Jim Backus and Russell Johnson. Alan Hale and Natalie Schafer also had great careers, but they slowed after GI. I don't think Tina's great collection of appearances in B and C films qualifies to say that her career has been all that more successful than Dawn's or anyone else's!

And i'll tell you! i am not talking about the quality of tina's films, i am talking about her amount of work, especially after the show.
