When Grady was filling in for Fred I think the opening credits should have said:

SANFORD AND SON

Starring
REDD FOXX

and
WHITMAN MAYO

With
DEMOND WILSON

This way the audience would know when Grady was sitting in for Fred.

Does anyone think the shows writers, producers or directrs should have done this?

I think that that would of been a good idea 'cause when he left i was like huh? no fred?. all of a sudden he was just gone.
