Default 8 Simple Rules or Step By Step

Which do you like better?

(2002- ) 8 Simple Rules with John Ritter
OR
(1991-1998) Step By Step with Suzanne Somers

and why

I really dont know which one I like better.. 8 SImple Rules has really good jokes, and more exciting characters, and Step By Step has the same. So I dont know. What do you think?

I don't know either! 8 Simple Rules and Step By Step are shows that were really funny and that the whole family could watch! I love them both!

I think that Step By Step has the edge over 8SR for me. Although I enjoyed John better than Suzanne in TC, I enjoyed Suzanne better in SBS, than I do John in 8SR. Step By Step was more of an ensemble piece, which appealed to be greatly. It didn't just focus on one character. 8SR is one of a one-dimensional piece, clearly focusing mainly on the two daughters. Although the format itself is fine, I don't care for it as much I do an ensemble piece. If I had to grade the series, I'd give Step by Step a B+ and 8SR a C+.

Thumbs up

I like both of the shows a lot, but I would have to say that 8 simple rules is still the best! I love that show!

I like 8 Simple Rules better. I didn't really like the kids in Step By Step and I really hated Jean Luc too.

I'd have to say 8SR...there's just something about it I find funnier. SBS was ok too, though. I used to watch it when it came on all the time.
