Okay, I'm gonna be a senior next year and my mom has already started to cry about it. The other day, I made me own coffee (she always wants to make it for me). She walked into the kitchen, looked at it, looked at me and burst into tears. I can't blame her, but seeing my mom cry all the time is very sad. I'm sure you're wondering how this is related to Egypt.
So I told her that we should take a trip together. A mother/daughter trip somewhere. She suggested Christmas break for 2 weeks and I was like, "sure mom." Now, I'm thinking that we're gonna go to Niagara Falls or something. Maybe Chicago if she's in for some more flight time. But she just sniffed, and dug out this old brochure she had in her bag and gave it to me. It was a brochure about Egypt! We're going to Egypt!! I've always wanted to go to Egypt!! And my mom and I are going. And my dad and brothers are incredibly jealous because A. They're going to Disney World B. My mom barely shed a tear when my elder brother left for college, let alone a trip to a foreign country C. My dad wants to come, but he can't D. My younger brother has seen the Mummy fifty billion times and wants to see Egypt E. All of the above Yay! Sorry for the random post, but I'm happy! |

Wow that's teriffic! I'd like to go to Egypt, but I'd be happy just going back to Disney World.
That's great though that you're going on a mother/daughter trip. I take it that you and your mom are extremely close.

I think that is so sweet! It is hard for Mom's to handle their kids growing up(and sometimes away). Both of my kids are within 10 miles of where I live and I am so grateful for that!
