Default Why wasn't Pearl, Willis, Kimberly, and Maggie in the last episode?

I was wondering why Arnold, Sam and Mr. Drummond were the only DS characters in the last episode? If someone can help me that would be great.

With the exception of "Sam's Missing", you will find that everyone has NOT been seen the same eps since that airing and the cast and crew wasn't sure if that 8th season was going to be the last or not.

I' not sure i know what you mean. You said that they wasn't sure if the 8th season would be the last. What does that have to do with missing characters in season 8 episodes?

I think someone may have said before that they were trying to cut back on production budget and since everyone was on a high salery, they felt that they didn't need to include people if they were not key to the plot.

It's stupid that they weren't all in most of them, especially the last episode, only Mr D, Arnold and Sam were in them all.

The biggest crime of DS was not having a finale.

I could've sworn Arnold got a girlfriend in the final season. He was locked in a dark room with his archrival Lisa and the two fell for eachother. They even kissed.

I never knew that. I just remember Lisa giving him a hard time. If i was to see DS again in syndication, i would only prefer to see from 83-86, I think i have seen enough of the episodes from 1978-1982.

Those were just two different examples I was giving. I don't think they expected that the show was coming to an end like that so how could they prepare a finale? If there was a season finale I am sure all would have been featured.

There was no way they could wrap up those plots you guys posted if there was a proper send off for DS at the end of the 8th season.

Ex.

Willis had just started college. He would graduate in 89', 3 years later, which we all know the series did not last until.

Arnold had just began HS. So he would also be graduated in 89', 3 years later.

However, the thing about Arnold and Lisa could have worked out, with the two going out on a date before the series ended, to show that they were going to be friends, and maybe even more than friends. (((THIS WAS THE ONLY PLOT THAT COULD HAVE WORKED FROM THE SUGGESTIONS ABOVE, SINCE NOTHING MAJOR WAS HAPPENING AT THE END OF THE SEASON ANYWAYS.)))

But for a real finale send-off, here are my thoughts...

---------------------------------------
Drummond gets sick, real sick. Real, real real sick. Maggie fears that she is going to lose him and loves him. Sam's father returns and stays by her side to help her through the tough time. She thinks that he is going to try to get back with her if she looses Phillip. She loves Phillip and not her Ex. She tries to make that clear. Then the family is at the hospital waiting to see if Drummond would get revived. And in the end he survives and is ok.
---------------------------------------

Thats the only thing I can see happening in the final episode. DRUMMOND GETS A STROKE (WHICH WOULD CORRESPOND WITH THE TITLE OF THE SHOW "STROKES". )

That way, all of the cast would be there. And it would be a 2 parter episode as usual! DS deserved a 2 part send-off!

You're right a two parter would've been nice.
