Which version do you prefer - the one w/ Leonardo DiCaprio or the older one? I absolutely love the older one b/c it's more like the original story; the costumes and settings are more appropriate. Plus, Mr. DiCrapio isn't in it.

couldnt stand the new one, i agree, DiCaprio isnt my idea of Romeo...

we have to watch this movie in our 9th grade honors English class (the new one with Dicaprio)

I watched both versions in 9th grade. I love'em both, but I have the one with Claire Danes and Leonardo DiCaprio on tape so I guess thats my favorite.

I'm not a real big Shakespear fan, but the older movie is decent.

I prefer the old one more I am not that much of a fan of Leo although I did like his character in Titanic
